Editorial Announcement

It is my pleasure to announce that Tad Schmaltz of Duke University will be the new Editor of the Journal of the History of Philosophy. He will assume the editorship August 1, 2003, and I wish him much success.

Although editorial decisions will be made in New York through August, new submissions should be sent to Professor Tad M. Schmaltz, Editor, Journal of the History of Philosophy, 347 Trent Hall, Duke University, Box 90449, Durham, NC 27708, USA starting July 1. For new submission guidelines see Instructions for Authors.

Serving as Editor for the last five years has been a valuable experience that has enriched my understanding of philosophy and its history. I would like to express my thanks to the Board of Directors, and the many other referees who have helped to maintain the high standards of this journal. I am grateful to Hunter College for its support; to my Assistant Editor, James Feast (1998-2001); and to George Seli (2001-present), who began as Assistant Editor and was promoted to Managing Editor.
