  • Introducing International Research and Scholarship
  • Kristen A. Renn

On behalf of the editorial team of the Journal of College Student Development, I am pleased to introduce a new section of the journal: International Research and Scholarship. We have always welcomed manuscripts describing results of high-quality studies related to international issues in college student development, including those conducted in any national context, international/comparative projects, studies of international student experiences and identities, and research on study abroad experiences. As editors of the flagship publication of ACPA-College Student Educators International, we have decided to raise the visibility of international research and scholarship on college student development by regularly highlighting these studies in the journal. We have also identified reviewers with expertise in international/ comparative higher education. Manuscripts to be considered for this section follow the same guidelines as Feature Articles, Research in Brief, and On the Campus (see Submission Guidelines for the Journal) and undergo the same masked review process. Authors are advised to follow carefully the general submission guidelines regarding proper writing style and formatting. As Associate Editor for International Research and Scholarship, I am glad to communicate directly with authors, before, during, and after the submission process. [End Page 563]
