It is my pleasure to announce that the International Arthurian Society-North American Branch is currently accepting nominations for the James Randall Leader Prize for Best Essay on an Arthurian topic and the Norris J. Lacy Prize for Outstanding Editorial Achievement in the Field of Arthurian Studies.

The James Randall Leader Prize

This prize is awarded annually for the best essay on an Arthurian topic. While previously selection was limited to essays that appeared in Arthuriana, the competition is now open to any article that was published in 2009 on an Arthurian topic; to be considered, authors must be members of the International Arthurian Society-North American Branch. Self-nominations are welcome.

The Norris J. Lacy Prize

This prize is awarded for excellence in editing of Arthurian texts; although preference may be given to critical editions of primary texts, reference volumes, essay collections, and other scholarly contributions may be considered. To be eligible, nominated editors must be members of the International Arthurian Society, but need not be members of the North American Branch. Self-nominations welcome.
