  • Erratum

In issue 53.1, AMSJ misspelled the names of two authors in the book review section. In Michael Antonucci’s review of The Chitlin’ Circuit and the Road to Rock ‘N’ Roll, author Preston Lauterbach’s name was misspelled, as was Robert Pruter’s in Jason Reid’s review of The Rise of American High School Sports and the Search for Control, 1880–1930. AMSJ regrets the errors.

At AMSJ we welcome student editorial assistants and we must also say goodbye to them. Our assistant editor, Chris Robinson, has been around KU since 2008. Chris completed an outstanding dissertation, “Firing the Canon: Multiple Insularities in Jazz Criticism,” when revised as a book it will make waves in the field of American Studies, Literary Criticism, and Jazz Studies. On Saturday, May 17th, Chris was hooded as a Ph.D. and will begin a new career working for Duke University Press. We are extremely proud of Chris and we wish to thank him publicly for his dedicated work to make the journal excellent. [End Page 3]
