Robert Corrington is one of the most prolific and original of contemporary American philosophical theologians, someone whose distinctive voice has shaped the conversation in IARPT, as well as in the pages of this journal, for the last twenty years. He is perhaps best known for his formulation of the detailed and highly nuanced metaphysical perspective called "ecstatic naturalism." The four articles published in this issue represent versions of papers that were originally presented at the First International Congress on Ecstatic Naturalism, held at Drew University on April 1-2, 2011. Several recent books (one by Nam Nguyen reviewed in this issue and another by Leon Niemoczynski, reviewed last May in the AJTP) represent attempts by younger scholars to engage both critically and creatively some of the basic aspects of Corrington's metaphysical system.
