Abstract

This paper presents an overview of "Creative Arts," a class designed especially for high school participants in the Talented and Gifted Project at Texas School for the Deaf. It explains the teaching approach for one section of the class, "The Study of Creative People." It also explains how various media devices, including slides, transparencies, simulation games, and charts were used to introduce and reinforce concepts emphasized in class. Such concepts include: the nature of creativity, the influences of heredity and environment in the creatively productive person's life, and analysis of the student's own creative potential.
