A supplementary reading program designed for use with hearing-impaired children and those children learning English as a second language. The series uses a meaning emphasis with controlled vocabulary. In the first three levels, sentences are separated into phrases to encourage the use of larger units of words. Myths: This text was designed so students can appreciate Greek and Roman beliefs, without complicated syntactical structures. It is divided into three parts. The first section presents information about the Greeks and Romans and gives biographical sketches of the deities and their primary responsibilities. With parent or student (if 18 years old) request, the responsibility of referral can be transferred to the agency and potential client, relieving the Regional Program Staff from further direct involvement in the referral process.
