But Don't Quote Me: Reflections by Parents on Deafness and Rubella

In preparation for this article, the author interviewed numerous parents of deaf children, some with maternal rubella. Great concern is evident from their comments about the future of their children. She urges advocacy on the part of parents, but advocacy which includes knowledge, tact, and the ability to work as a member of a team with those who provide services. She urges planning which will give major attention to the more severely involved client and student.
