The seal is the same size and has the same symbols as that of Gnendel. Some corrosion has affected the letters, but the name is also indicated by the document, the records listing the name as Chalman.

We know that Chalman was the son of Gnendel. Both seals are affixed to the document illustrated in No. 90 above,* indicating that the father and son were in business together. As is obvious, the son modeled his seal on that of his father.


*Both Gnendel and Chalman signed another document without sealing on August 20, 1389, as well (Wiener, 1862, No. 346).
