63. Seal of Jochebed [or Joch anan]

Dimensions: ca. 13 × 12 mm. (from the line drawing).

Location: unknown.

Bibliography: Cantera y Burgos and Millás Vallicrosa, 1956, No. 260.

This ring of gold, reported as 5.5 grams in weight, had an octagonal bezel divided into three zones. Above and below floral designs appear. In the center, in a horizontal band, are the Hebrew letters. Cantera y Burgos and Millás Vallicrosa state that the drawing is rather inconclusive; the name may be Jochebed or Jochanan or “an analogous name.”
