ABOUT THE CONTRIBUTORS Dr. Stanley S. Beus, who has a Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, is Regents Professor of Geology at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He has been conducting research in the Grand Canyon for some twenty-five years. Dr. Steven W. Carothers, who has a Ph.D. degree from the University of Illinois, is a noted zoologist who has published extensively on Grand Canyon ecology. His most recent book, written with Dr. Bryan Brown, is The Colorado River Through Grand Canyon: Natural History and Human Change, published by the University of Arizona Press. Dr. Carothers is President of SWCA, Inc., Environmental Consultants in Flagstaff, Arizona. Kim Crumbo is a National Park Service ranger and a boatman in the Division of Resource Management at Grand Canyon National Park. He has been a boatman on numerous river trips through the Grand Canyon and has published A River Runner's Guide to the History of Grand Canyon. Dr. Robert Euler is a professional anthropologist with a Ph.D. degree from the University of New Mexico. He has been conducting research in the Grand Canyon since 1956 and has published numerous studies Contributors 114 of his work on Grand Canyon archaeology and history, and with the American Indians of the area. Dr. Frank Tikalsky is a psychologist on the clinical staff of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. He holds an Ed.D. degree from Northern Colorado University in Greeley.
