Remade in Hollywood: The Global Chinese Presence in Transnational Cinemas

This book examines Hollywood’s post-1997 “remaking” of popular Chinese film culture for both its American and global markets. While focusing on the various cultural politics of this remaking and responses to them, it also tracks Hollywood’s cultural impact on contemporary (trans)national Chinese-language cinemas and its practices.
