367 Bibliography Archival and Library Sources The majority of primary materials used in this work are located at the 78th Air Base Wing History Archives, Robins AFB, Georgia. Unless the provenance of an item is stated as otherwise , it is located there. The archives have a large number of Vietnam-era holdings, particularly Warner Robins Air Materiel Area (WRAMA) and Strategic Air Command (SAC) documents , histories, and studies. Among the other sources used were messages, letters, and memos among key political, military, and WRAMA players involved in the AC-130 story. They also include interviews; military situation reports; end-of-tour reports; site team reports; mission reports; background reports; command-, service-, and secretary-level briefings; and statements before Congress and other government agencies. Many of these primary sources were found in files of government agencies such as the US State Department and Defense Department; the US Senate and House of Representatives, including the Committees on Foreign Affairs and Armed Services; and the Departments of the Air Force, Army, and Navy as well as the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Other documents came from the National Archives in College Park, Maryland; the Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and Carter presidential libraries; the US Air Force archival holdings at the Air Force Historical Research Agency at Maxwell AFB, Alabama, and the Navy War College, Newport, Rhode Island.
