108 Otherworldly Thirst The rats are out drinking at the edges of puddles. Their thirst is unquenchable. They wash their bodies clean on the inside. They restore order to their bodies. Not tonight. I’m not going to get poisoned tonight. Trust the intense desire of the body. Sharpen it. Focus it into an incinerating beam. This hurricane is rather pleasant. I find myself enjoying this hurricane. Is there anything I can do to help? Yes, get yourself in order. In fact, yes, pull yourself together. Know thyself, as somebody once said. Knit thyself together, tighten the loose strands of ligament. The rats are washing the poison out of their systems with huge gulpings.
