138 About the Editors and Designer Teresa Milbrodt received her MFA in Creative Writing and her MA in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University. She is the author of the short story collection Bearded Women: Stories (Chizine Publications), the upcoming novel The Patron Saint of Unattractive People (Boxfire Press), and the upcoming flash fiction collection Larissa's Guide to Trying to Be a Good Person in the World. Milbrodt's stories have appeared in numerous literary journals, and several have been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. She lives in Gunnison, Colorado, with her husband, Tristan, and cat, Aspen. Michaela Roessner has published four novels, and shorter works in venues including Asimov’s Magazine, F&SF, OMNI, Room and assorted anthologies. Her novel Walkabout Woman won the Crawford and John W. Campbell awards. She’s had pieces short-listed for the Calvino Prize, the Tiptree Award, the Mythopoeic Award, and the Millennium Publishing contest. Recent short fiction publications include “The Klepsydra,” published in F&SF in late 2011, and “The Fishes Speak,” in P.S. Publishing’s anthology The Company He Keeps. She is working on the third novel in a set about Catherine de Medici for Tachyon Publications. She teaches creative writing at Western State Colorado University’s low-residency MFA program and online classes for Gotham Writers’ Workshop. With a doctorate in English from Texas Tech University, Mark Todd has served on the faculty at Western for twenty-five years, where he serves as program director for Western State Colorado University’s MFA in Creative Writing and also teaches undergraduate creative writing. His own works include two collections of poetry (Wire Song, 2001; Tamped, But Loose Enough to Breathe, 2008), and three novels—two paranormal adventure-comedies co-written with wife Kym O’Connell-Todd (Little Greed Men, 2006, 2013; All Plucked Up, 2012) and one science fiction novel (Strange Attractors, 2012). He and his wife are currently at work on book three of the Silverville Saga, The Magicke Outhouse, forthcoming in early 2014. She is also a freelance editor, book designer, and publishing consultant for authors and small presses.
