80 Dawn M. Nothwehr, O.S.F. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dawn M. Nothwehr, O.S.F, a Franciscan Sister of Rochester, Minnesota, is Assistant Professor of Ethics at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. She has a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies from the Justice and Peace Institute of the Maryknoll School of Theology, where she specialized in feminist theology and theologies of liberation. She did her doctoral studies at Marquette University, where she was a Teaching Fellow (1993-4). She has taught theology at Quincy University, at St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wisconsin; at St. Xavier University, Chicago; and at St. Bernard’s Institute, Colgate Divinity School, Rochester, New York. Her main interest is the ethics of power and the role of mutuality in the moral life. Her research is undergirded by significant experience in pastoral work with marginalized peoples, by diocesan social ministry and by the study and praxis of liberation theologies and feminist ethics. She is editor of Franciscan Theology of the Environment: An Introductory Reader (Quincy, IL: Franciscan Press, 2002) and author of Mutuality: A Formal Norm for Christian Social Ethics (San Francisco : Catholic Scholars Press, 1998), as well as numerous articles. ...
