Addendum: Definitions of Blackfeet Reservations Lands, 1855, 1851, 1875 The extent of Blackfoot lands in the United States was defined (in 1855 “Treaty with the Blackfeet Nation,” or “Lame Bull’s Treaty,” on the Judith ) as follows: Bounded on the south by a line drawn eastward from the Hell Gate or Medicine Rock passes to the nearest source of the Musselshell River, down that river to its mouth, and down the Missouri to the mouth of Milk River; on the east by a line due north from the mouth of Milk River to the forty-ninth parallel (the Canadian border); on the north by this parallel; and on the west by the Rocky Mountains.
