Our friendly, fruitful philosophical discussions kindled my enthusiasm for philosophy in general and the values of the critical school in particular; Prof. Helmut Holzhey, director of the Cohen-Archiv in Zurich, Switzerland, who not only was generous enough to allow me access over the years to his archive's bibliographical resources and to his own research, but also carried on a friendly, detailed series of discussions on the theme which is of interest to both of us, providing me with extremely useful advice and opinions.
