Acknowledgments THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL research described in this book took place throughout the last 30 years. Many people and many agencies facilitated our research efforts during that time. Work in the Mammoth Cave area was administratively supported by officials from the National Park Service, Mammoth Cave National Park, and the Cave Research Foundation.
