ABOUT THE AUTHORS Mariamne H. Whatley is a Professor of Women’s Studies and Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has an A.B. in English from Radcliffe College–Harvard University and her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University. Her research and teaching interests include women’s health issues and sexuality education. Elissa R. Henken earned her A.B. in Folklore and Mythology at Radcliffe College–Harvard University, her M.A. in Welsh Language and Literature at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and her Ph.D. at the Folklore Institute at Indiana University.
