I would have liked to do so, despite my sufferings, had not the doctor, envoy of ʿAzrāʾīl,118 forbidden me to move. But you must hear the story of what happened to me with that cuckold. “One day, I got indigestion from eating bulgur that I’d bolted down, lock, stock, and barrel, so that the next day I was ill and nauseous.
