Several banana industries in the Western Hemisphere are structured differently from the Latin American and Caribbean models, although those models are the most common. Belize, Suriname, Guadeloupe, and Martinique, for example, all sell bananas to Europe, but they have different production systems from those in Latin America and the eastern Caribbean.
