We are fortunate to work for a school where the free exchange of ideas is encouraged, assistance from faculty members is ever present, and institutional support for research is generous . Many of the ideas that shaped our research grew from conversations with our colleagues Kevin Avruch, Marc Gopin, Dean Pruitt, Richard Rubenstein, and Dennis Sandole.
