Abstract:
This reader's notebook essay surveys how authors in Children's Literature have imagined and conceptualized the future over the course of its fifty-year history. A midcareer and an emerging scholar examine trends by publication decade, selecting passages in context and making sense of how our field has engaged in futurity and futuremaking in the past.
