Stars have a habit of pushing things / away I read in an article that the Milky Way is a thief taking one breath and then another keeping / it all I think she likes this version of herself / stretched wide over this canyon where I stand at the bottom staring into her / I have never seen her / like this before / honeycombed in limestone / siltstone dolomite if I could tear them down / to make the sky bigger/ give her more / room to fill / would it end her expanding / the exhaling pitch / the dark with always more to swallow when I need / a reason to be hungrier [End Page 25]
