  • Books Received in Nineteenth-Century Studies

We profoundly regret that we are not able to publish the “Recent Studies in the Nineteenth Century” omnibus review essay for Volume 60. The very poor health of the commissioned reviewer is, at the time of writing, still in a very uncertain state. We will only be clear about how best to proceed once we know more about developments in the reviewer’s condition. In the meantime, we ask for your patience and for your good wishes on behalf of our reviewer.

We are working to ensure that an essay considering the books listed here in our “Books Received” section will appear, but we cannot guarantee a specific publication date or format at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience this delay may cause authors, publishers, and scholars, but are determined that the books listed will receive due consideration by a leading scholar in nineteenth-century studies as soon as that can be arranged. Please continue to send books that you wish to be considered by an omnibus reviewer to one of the Rice University addresses listed hereafter.
