sheila teahan taught American and British literature at Michigan State University. She is the author of 'The Rhetorical Logic of Henry James' and of many essays. She served as president of the Henry James Society in 2001. She is writing a book on James's short fiction.
erin pearson, Assistant Professor of English at Elon University, studies slavery in US and transatlantic literature and visual art. Her current book project argues that evolving ideas about consumption transformed how slavery was understood. Her work has appeared in ELH and Mississippi Quarterly.
emily banks is a doctoral candidate at Emory University, where her work focuses on queer theory and American women's gothic literature. She has published articles in Women's Studies, Mississippi Quarterly, and the edited volumes Shirley Jackson and Domesticity: Beyond the Haunted House (Bloomsbury) and Shirley Jackson: A Companion (Peter Lang).
aristides dimitriou (Ph.D., University of California, Berkeley) is Assistant Professor of English and Mellon Faculty Fellow at Gettysburg College. He is currently working on a book that examines how US, Caribbean, and Latin American authors innovated with time and narrative to conceptualize the course of history as US expansionism reproduced French, Spanish, and British modes of imperial governance in the twentieth century.
