Abstract:
The cognitive study of C. S. Lewis's mental image of "a Faun in a snowy wood," the initial spark for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, focuses on the connections between conceptual properties and Lewis's literary production to reveal why such images endure and influence children's literature and culture.
