In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

Tang Studies 23-24 (2005-06) Scholarly W ork on the T ang, 2005-2006 This bibliography of Tang studies attempts to be as complete as possible for the years 2005-2006. In this issue, we have included books published in Chinese, Japanese and Western languages, while the bibliography of articles remains exclusively of Westernlanguage works. It should be noted that some books and articles only partly concern the Tang period; the criterion for inclusion in such cases is that a work deal with a Tang topic in more than an incidental fashion. The bibliography is divided into three sections: (I) Books, (II) Articles in Western Languages, and (III) Dissertations in Western Languages. Omissions should be brought to the attention of the Editor for inclusion in future lists. I. BOOKS A . B ooks in W estern L anguages Barrett, Timothy Hugh.
