In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

T'ang StudIes 3 (1985) WESTERN-LANGUAGE WORKS ON T'ANG STUDIES, 1981-84 This bibliography attempts to be as complete as possible for Western-language works on TIang studies published--not necessarily dated--from 1981 through mid-1984. (The year 1981 was chosen as the terminus a quo since the A.A.S. Bibliography of Asian Studies has now reached 1980). It should be noted that some books and articles included here are only partly concerned with the T'ang; the criterion for inclusion in such cases is that the work deal with a T'ang topic in more than an incidental, albeit less than exclusive, fashion. The bibliography is divided into three sections--(I) Books, (II) Articles and Research Notes, and (III) Dissertations. Omissions should be brought to the attention of the Editor, for inclusion in future lists. Succeeding issues of T'ang Studies will update the bibliography yearly. I. BOOKS Azarpay, G.
