Yelena Mazour‐Matusevich, Ph.D. (1998), University of Illinois at Urbana‐Champaign, second doctorate in History, 2018, EHESS, Paris, France. Professor of French and History at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Published two books, one in French, The Golden Age of French Mysticism, (Paris‐Milan: 2004) and one in English, Saluting Aron Ya. Gurevich: Essays on History, Literature and Other Subjects, (Leiden, Brill: 2010), over 50 essays and academic articles and hundreds of short stories. Second career as an artist. Collaborates with Crosscurrents since 2008.

Eric Santanen is Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Freeman College of Management at Bucknell University. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Management with a major in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. In his early career, Eric was a corporate software engineer for a variety of organizations in the financial and pharmaceutical industries. His teaching and research streams have always focused on the ways in which information systems impact individuals, organizations, and society. Over the past several years, this interest has narrowed to focus exclusively on detrimental impacts of technology on individuals and on society, particularly in the area of privacy.
