Music Received

Due to shipping and mailing delays during the COVID-19 pandemic, this column was compiled by using the Theodore Front website. Structural racism continues to disproportionately segregate composers of color and women from access to performance opportunities. We at Notes realize that music libraries play a crucial role in elevating these composers and the public discourse around race and racism. As such, the editor of the Music Received column has curated this column based on recently published works by BIPOC composers (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) and women.
