CLA JOURNAL 261 CONTRIBUTORS Kwangsoon Kim is Associate Professor of English at Kongju National University, South Korea. He earned his Ph.D. in English from Purdue University. His recent research focuses on contemporary African American fiction and film. His work has appeared in a number of academic journals in South Korea and America. Kelsey Kiser is a doctoral candidate at Southern Methodist University, where she is completing her dissertation. Her work has been generously supported by a 2018-2019 short-term research fellowship from the New York Public Library’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Her research interests include literature and surveillance studies Melva Persico is a Senior Lecturer of Spanish at Clemson University in South Carolina. She earned her Ph.D. in Romance Studies with a focus on Hispanic literature from the University of Miami. Her main areas of research are AfroHispanic and Caribbean literature and cultural studies. Dominick D. Rolle is Assistant Professor of English at Winston-Salem State University, where he specializes in 20th Century African American and African Diasporic literatures. He has held prestigious fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
