Poe in the Age of Spanish Populism: Conversations between the Word and Image in the Spanish Editions from the 1930s and 1940s

The most relevant illustrated editions of Poe's works published in Spain in the 1930s and 1940s are analyzed, with special attention paid to the political circumstances and censorship that affected their production. The relationship between the illustrations and the texts will be interpreted in this light.
