Abstract:
"Span of Attention" is a meditative poem considering the distance of men and the stoic ownership they feel of their private spaces, which women cannot permeate by will.
"Femininity" is a lyric poem considering abandonment and longing. The speaker contrasts her feelings to those of Mary Magdalene, watching Christ move away from her and closer to his individual fate.
