Abstract

Abstract:

During the 2008–09 academic year, the Commission on Telematics and New Technologies of the American Association of Teachers of French marked the end of the decade by conducting a national survey of AATF members’ use(s) of new technologies in the curriculum. The results reported in this article suggest that respondents prefer established (i.e., older, more familiar) software and applications for a variety of reasons, many of which are unknown. However, respondents’ attitudes toward trying and/or using new applications appear positive. Based on the results of the survey, the Commission will continue to pursue ways to promote technology in language learning.
