1238 FRENCH REVIEW 85.6 MOTIONS PASSED BY THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AND DELEGATE ASSEMBLY Montreal, July 4-5, 2011 The AATF Executive Council moves 1. The agenda for the 2011 Executive Council Meeting be approved. 2. The minutes from the 2010 Executive Council Meeting in Philadelphia be approved. 3. That the proposed budget for FY2011 be approved as amended, including $23,000 for dues to the Joint National Committee for Languages/National Council for Languages and International Studies, approximately $5000 for annual dues to the Fédération international des professeurs de français, $1500 for the Walter Jensen Scholarship for Study Abroad, approximately $60,000 for honoraria, $2500 for AATF Commissions to be distributed as funds are applied for, $5000 for AATF Small Grants, $2,500 for National French Week, and $3500 + $1000 for the Leadership Program. 4. That Doug Cardwell be named Manager of the AATF Endowment Fund for a period 2012-2014. 5. That Commission Chairs be officially appointed by the President for three-year renewable terms on a staggered basis. 6. That an application process for Commission Chairs be established, including a proposal for a project to be undertaken during a three-year term. 7. That the Articulation Commission be merged as part of the Professional Teacher Standards Commission and that the Community Colleges Commission be merged as part of the Commission on Universities, now to be named the Commission on Colleges and Universities. 8. That commissions without a current approved project or chair will be considered inactive. 9. That Providence, RI or New Orleans be approved as a convention site for 2013. 10. That a week-long colloquium in Montpellier be organized in 2014 instead of a regular convention. 11. That the AATF By-Laws be changed as follows: a. A member in good standing of the AATF must pay annual national dues. In addition, national members may affiliate with a local chapter and pay local dues as appropriate. b. Only national members in good standing are eligible to serve as chapter officers, delegates, commission chairs, and to receive other benefits of AATF membership. 12. That Joyce Beckwith (Eastern Massachusetts Chapter) and Adina Alexandru (Connecticut Chapter) be candidates for Region I (New England) Representative (20122014 ) 13. That Helene Ossipov (Arizona Chapter) and Marie-Magdeleine Chirol (Southern California) be candidates for Region VII (Southwest) Representative (2012-2014) 14. That Eileen Walvoord (Chicago/Northern Illinois Chapter) and Samantha GoddenChmielowicz (Chicago/Northern Illinois Chapter) be candidates for Region VII (West Central) Representative (2012-2014) 15. That Jane Romer (North Carolina Chapter) and Jacki Williams-Jones (Southern California Chapter) be candidates for AATF Vice-President (2012-2014) with Deanna Scheffer (Florida) as alternate. 16. That the agenda for the Delegate Assembly be approved. 19. That the AATF Executive Council meeting be adjourned. 2011 PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS Be it resolved that the Executive Council and the entire AATF membership on the occasion of the 84th annual meeting held in Montreal, Quebec from July 6-9, 2011 offer their gratitude and deep appreciation to the following individuals and organizations that have made important contributions to the success of the meeting.
