13 The French Review From the Editor’s Desk This issue provides a good example of the wide range and high quality of the texts that are published in the French Review: five articles in the Literature rubric, one on Film, two on Society and Culture, our annual article on l’Actualité de l’Éducation, an article in the Focus on the Classroom rubric, an article in one of our shorter rubrics (Actualités du monde francophone: applications pédagogiques), an Interview of the Haitian writer Jessica Fièvre, and an online Dossier pédagogique (which can be downloaded at: ). Also, a few reminders about recent announcements, the first two of which are detailed on the Announcements page (290). The title of our special issue for Vol. 90 (May 2017) will be: Enfances et adolescences. Scholars working in various fields—literature, film, bandes dessinées, cultural studies, linguistics, and pedagogy—are encouraged to submit articles (deadline: Aug. 1, 2016). Scholars who are working on a book, and who are seeking an appropriate publishing outlet, are invited to submit their detailed project proposal to the French Review Book Series. All those who would like to donate to the French Review Fund can do so online or by sending a check to our Treasurer/ Advertising Manager, Ann Sunderland (see p. 297).
