Abstract

Abstract:

This article acknowledges the passing of three singular poets—Emmanuel Hocquard (1940–2019), Marie-Claire Bancquart (1932–2019), Antoine Emaz (1955–2019)—and their legacies. Prevalent in a number of the works discussed is a decided interest in translation and the publication of bilingual anthologies. In the context of this article, crossing boundaries refers to crossing existential, generic, geographic, and linguistic boundaries.
