Creating Bhumi for Sanggar Çudamani, Bali

Bhumi: Mother Earth was a production by Sanggar Çudamani (Çudamani Studio) created for the group's American tour in 2018. Earth as theme was inspired by Bali's social and cultural life, as well as present environmental issues, including exploitation, pollution, and threats posed by humans to our biosphere. Interviews with collaborators, as well as the author's testimony as choreographer, are shared. Bhumi was based on the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hitakarana (Three Causes of Well Being) presenting its ideas accessibly in music, dance, and choreography for local, national, and international audiences.
