From Camelot to China, or, 'A History or Moral Tale about a Young Sir Gabein's Marvelous Adventures Illustrating Divine Providence'

This article offers the first English-language translation of Gabein, a hitherto unknown eighteenth-century Yiddish tale about Sir Gawain, in which the Arthurian knight becomes the Emperor of China. The accompanying scholarly introduction places the text into its larger context within Judaic culture, and European, Germanic, and Yiddish Arthuriana. (AO)
