This photo essay examines the politics of Asian American desirability. In this piece, Kha documents being kissed by friends and strangers in an ongoing project. His series allows us to reimagine him as an amorous object, and his lack of expression reasserts his agency to choose whose romantic attempts he accepts. He thus allows Asian American photographers to create space for themselves and reflect upon Asian American identity in the western zeitgeist.
