Abstract

Abstract:

Richard E. Watts is an expert in the integration of Adlerian, cognitive-behavioral, constructivist, existential-humanistic, and systemic-ecological perspectives. This interview with him is focused on Adler’s revolutionary approach to psychotherapy, the role it played in the development of the effective therapeutic approaches in the 20th century, and the place of Adlerian psychology in a contemporary counseling field of the 21st century. Major advantages of Adlerian counseling theory and practice are discussed in a context of other contemporary counseling theories.
