This issue marks the twenty-first year of the publication of the Edgar Allan Poe Review; it's hard to believe that our PSA journal has been around so long! And next year the PSA will host the fifth international Poe conference held in Boston—who knew that our first conference in Richmond in 1999 would herald so many future gatherings! (Please note: the CFP for this conference appears on the back cover.) And we anticipate the sixth conference in 2027—where? Well, that's to be decided, but it could be West Point or Charleston or maybe a return to Richmond, Poe's hometown. The future leaders of the PSA will determine the best site.

We're pleased to announce that Sonya Isaac of Heidelberg University has accepted a place on our editorial board; she joined us in January to replace Paul Grimstad. We are grateful both for Paul's work on the board and for Sonya's willingness to serve. It's gratifying to note that our editorial board reflects Poe's international reputation with members from Russia, Spain, Germany, and England alongside U.S. members who come from the north, south, east and west. Because we have a three-blind review policy, some members of the board have reviewed over sixty essays, and for this dedicated work, we thank them.

The PSA has chosen three new honorary members as our PSA president informs us in the PSA Updates column in this issue: Jana Argersinger, John Gruesser, and Henri Justin. The citations for these three members will appear in the Fall 2020 issue. Current members include:
