Abstract

ABSTRACT:

The academic field of Israeli cinema studies has come more fully into its own over the past two decades, emerging as a vibrant and rich area of research. The following article aims to take stock of the field's past and present, providing a map to its major coordinates and key examples that attest to its depth. Furthermore, it will chart out various possibilities for the field's future development, which will potentially allow it to outstrip its original argumentative frameworks.
