Poem Written Backwards

“Poem Written Backwards” deals with the origins of creation, form, and gender that come out of Genesis in the Hebrew Bible. It was particularly inspired by the importance of structure, chiasm, and reversal in Hebrew poetry, and what those elements teach us about the Word and about the making and unmaking of life and the body. It was written in the American southwest.
