In lieu of an abstract, here is a brief excerpt of the content:

  • Co-Editors’ Preface
  • Andrew Burkett and Yasmin Solomonescu

With this brief preface, we would like to introduce ourselves as the Journal’s new Review Co-Editors and also draw attention to a few new features in the section. The first is an omnibus review that provides sustained investigation of a given author or topic relevant to the Journal’s circles of authorship. We are delighted to launch the feature with Lisa Vargo’s review of three recent scholarly and editorial works pertaining to Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, and we expect later volumes to feature omnibus reviews addressing other writers or particular topics, such as, for instance, John Keats in 1819/2019. A second new feature is a series of performance reviews that aim to capture facets of the rich cultural afterlives of Keats, the Shelleys, Byron, Hunt, and their circles, especially, but not exclusively, in these bicentenary years. The current volume includes reviews of theater productions, musical performances, and a ballet, with a focus this year on events related to Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus. We welcome suggestions of upcoming performances, events, and exhibits to review, including in the visual arts as well as in web-based and other digital media.

We are grateful to the outgoing Book Review Editor, Elizabeth A. Dolan, for her excellent stewardship of this section of the Journal and for having facilitated our transition into these new editorial roles. [End Page 189]
