Réactions populaires aux attaques terroristes de janvier 2016 à Ouagadougou

Cet article traite de la réaction populaire burkinabé suite aux attaques terroristes de 2015. Ces attaques sont survenues après le renversement en 2014 de Blaise Compaoré, qui avait servi de médiateur entre plusieurs gouvernements voisins et des groupes des opposants de leurs pays. Les premières opinions visaient un but politique, et liaient les attaques au renversement de Compaoré et au putsch manqué de 2015. Dans les organisations de la société civiles et chez les leaders religieux, la ten-dance a été d’affirmer les liens fort de sociabilité, de rejeter toute justification religieuse des attaques. Les médias sociaux ont joué un grand rôle dans la dissémination des points de vue et des discussions. Il est important de noter que les réactions n’ont pas développé des propos d’intolérance.

This article describes Burkinabé popular reactions to the terrorist attacks in 2015. These attacks came after President Blaise Compaoré was overthrown in 2014; Compaoré had served as intermediary between several neighboring governments and various insurgent groups. The first opinions pointed to political purposes, and linked the attacks to the overthrow of Compaoré and the failed coup d’état of 2015. Within organization of civil society, and among religious leaders, the tendency was to reinforce social bonds and to reject any religious justification for the attacks. Social media on the internet played an important role in disseminating the perspectives and the discussion. Among politicians, the response was centered on the need for security. It is striking that these reactions were not marked by tones of intolerance.
