Daisa Baker holds a B.S. in psychology and media & film studies from Birmingham-Southern College. She recently received her M.A. in communication at Auburn University.

Travis R. Bell (Ph.D., University of South Florida, 2017) is an Assistant Professor of Digital and Sports Media in the Zimmerman School of Advertising & Mass Communications at the University of South Florida. His research interests situate at an intersection of media, race, and sport, with an emphasis on media framing and social construction.

Andrew C. Billings (Ph.D., Indiana University, 1999) is the Ronald Reagan Chair of Broadcasting in the Department of Journalism & Creative Media at the University of Alabama. He has published over 200 works, including eighteen books, the majority of which pertain to sport media trends and practices.

Kenon A. Brown (Ph.D., The University of Alabama, 2012) is an Associate Professor and graduate coordinator for the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at The University of Alabama. His research interests lie in sports media effects, particularly focused on image and reputation management and international sporting events.

John Carvalho is a Professor of journalism at Auburn University. His work on sports media history includes a biography on baseball commissioner (and former sportswriter) Ford Frick as well as several journal articles. He is editor of an upcoming anthology, Sports Media History: Culture, Technology, Identity, to be published by Routledge.

Drew Drohan is a journalist currently based in Pensacola, FL. He is a recent graduate of the University of West Florida. When he is not writing, he enjoys running, collecting vintage vinyl records, and cheering on his beloved New Orleans Saints.

Daniel Marshall Haygood, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the School of Communications at Elon University. A former advertising professional with DMB&B in New York and Tokyo, he teaches advertising, sports information, and digital brand communications.

Nicole Hendricks, Ph.D., is a communications professional who is an Assistant Teaching Professor of public relations and journalism at Ball State University. Hendricks has a background in sports public relations, social media, and crisis communication. Hendricks also works in the media relations department for the Indiana Pacers.

Melvin Lewis (Ph.D., The University of Alabama, 2003) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management and Fellow of the Alabama Program in Sports Communication at The University of Alabama. His current research interests include sport, media, and sport consumer behavior.

Patrick J. McConnell is an Associate Professor of sport communication in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication at High Point University (NC). He has over twenty years of industry experience as an award-winning sports announcer, a broadcast journalist, and a sports public relations professional. He holds a doctorate in mass communication from the University of Georgia.

Tony Mixon is a graduate of the University of West Florida with a Bachelors in Communications specializing in journalism.

Mary Lou Sheffer Ph.D. is Professor and Faculty Lead Media & Entertainment Arts at The University of Southern Mississippi. Sheffer has a background in sports and social media, video production, journalism, and political communication. Her research focuses on sports journalism media, media management, and religious studies. She is the Editor of The Journal of Sports Media.

Willie R. Tubbs is an Assistant Professor of communication at the University of West Florida. His research agenda centers on military and government entities' use of and portrayal in the twentieth-century media.
