Abstract:
This article examines Muhammad Iqbal's artful strategy of communication with his reader through the use of literature. Iqbal's method of communication is analyzed in the light of some of the main principles of Kierkegaard's theory of "indirect communication," a significant aspect of his existential dialectics. This article argues that Iqbal's literary technique can also be regarded as a form of "indirect communication" and aims at helping the reader take part in the communication existentially.
